The blackberry is a "typical summer fruit" and its harvest is made exclusively by hand.

The blackberries are part of the big family of "Red Fruit" and conquer us with their intense and bittersweet flavour but also for the countless advantages they bring to our health. Blackberries, in fact, are rich in vitamins, minerals and active substances for our body.

The harvest period is from mid-June to September.

Blackberries are perfect fruit for fresh consumption but is greatly suited to the preparation of jams, the mixture for cakes and  of ice cream or flavoured yogurt.

Blackberries are also available frozen.

 

TIPS AND CURIOSITY

Blackberries strengthen bones with their high content of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. For their content of vitamins, minerals and proteins, blackberries strengthen the immune system. The substances contained in blackberries also have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties
