“DALMASSINA” PLUM 

The “Dalmassina” plum is the classic Piedmont plum.

The “Dalmassina” plum is unique: the juicy is flesh and soft, the aroma is intense, its skin is very thin and the taste is very sweet. The use of “Dalmassina” juicy plum is highly variable, most of it is destined for fresh consumption and the remaining is destined for syrup and jams, or pitted use.

The harvest time is in July.

 

TIPS AND CURIOSITY

The “Dalmassine” plums are a natural remedy for constipation problems.

One of the strengths of the “Dalmassine” plums is the harvest mode: when they are perfectly ripe, the plums fall with the minimum stress (natural or human), and the harvest is made in the ground with nets or by hand.

The high sugar content and the flesh stands (not adhering to the core) make the “Dalmassina” an ideal fruit for the transformation in jam and for drying.
